
A celebration of life for Robert Eugene Lacy, who passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at home, will be 2:00 p.m. today (Friday, January 16, 2009) at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach with the Reverend Ron Oser as the celebrant. The family will be receiving friends for two hours prior to the service, from 12:00 noon till 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The interment will be at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Rd. Ormond Beach immediately following the service. Mr. Lacy grew up in the Daytona Beach area and was an alumnus of the 1962 class of Mainland High School. He was a retired Fire Chief for the City of Holly Hill and a longtime member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Ormond Beach. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and woodworking. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 46 years, Carol; two loving daughters, Cindy (Steve) Harvilla, PA and Connie Lacy, Holly Hill; sister, Florence (Ron) Jacobs, Ormond Beach; brothers, Dan (Marlene) Lacy, Fort Pierce and David (Bettie) Lacy, Inverness; grandchildren, Brittny andStephen; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Vaughan. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Tr., Port Orange, FL 32129.
